Take 2 bananas, cut and freeze for an hour or two. Throw in a food processor and whiz it around for a minute. Scrap sides. Add a tablespoon of peanut butter (I used all natural honey-nut). Whiz again. Serve.
It really tastes like soft serve, and surprisingly isn’t overwhelmingly banana-y. Best of all, H loves it, and I really don’t feel at all bad letting him eat it.
I’ve been a big fan of the frozen banana ‘ice cream’ since i had my wisdom teeth out last year! it’s amazing how delicious it is, and guilt-free! i’ll have to try it with peanut butter, that sounds amazing. I sometimes add chocolate syrup to make ‘chocolate ice cream’.
I was so surprised that it actually tasted like ice cream! And, yes, the guilt free aspect is great. I’ll have to try it with chocolate, sounds yummy.
What a great idea! I will have to try that one for my little one. She loves bananas!
You could even leave out the pb if you are worried about allergies. I liked it better with, but H wouldn’t have cared if I left it out.
this looks amazing!!!
It is really quite good.
Looks tasty – we’ll have to try it! We made snow ice cream this winter and that was a big hit, too!
